Domestic Mission Trips

Each year close to eighty people (middle school, high school, college students and adults) travel to Immokalee, Florida. They work at various sites to repair homes of the needy- flooring, roofing, and drywall repairs. There is sometimes wood siiding, windows and doors replaced, as well as some electrical, plumbing, painting and landscaping work done.

In addition, the team puts on a mini Vacation Bible School for the children of Immokalee.

While the construction work and vacation Bible school are important, the real object of our mission work is always to "build" relationships and make the name great of our Lord Jesus Christ.

International Mission Trips

Fred Marquis, a member and key member of the community, went to Belize as someone from our church that had a heart for international missions. He went to a ministry fair sponsored by UMVIM (United Methodist Volunteers In Missions) and found no one was really going to Belize and the southern part of the country was without a good medical/dental clinic. He brought that news back to our church and told about it and that’s how the Belize mission trip started. A group of men and women from our church first started going in the late 90’s and a couple of years later 2003 our first youth team went and we have been going ever since.
