Missionary Fund

Our primary goal is to continue to support United Methodist Missionary, Jonathan McCurley, at the Asian Rural Institute in Japan. ARI strives to build community leaders who will transform the world. We hope to have enough funds to support Jonathan and also be able to provide assistance for our own members who feel called into missions. This year we will also be supporting Amy Sticha as she goes on a two year mission trip to Tunisia. Please help us build this fund so that we can GO and "make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world."

Metropolitan Ministries of Pasco

Metropolitan Ministries of Pasco provides compassion, support, assistance, and most of all, hope to those in need in our northern communities. They provide faithful answers for poor and homeless families living in our community through services that alleviate suffering, promote dignity, and instill self-sufficiency as an expression of the ongoing ministry of Jesus Christ. Beyond the essentials of food, clothing, and shelter assistance, they also offer a place for inspiring worship services, as well as Christian educational opportunities and small group ministries.

PHUMC provides assistance through a feeding program for families in need on the 3rd, 4th, and 5th Saturdays of the month. Our members volunteer during the Thanksgiving and Christmas Holidays handing out boxes of food, and presents. Volunteers also work during their summer camp, provide the needy children with back-to-school back packs and school supplies, and sort donated food during the annual Postal Carriers food drive.

Metropolitan Ministries accepts donations of non-perishable food, hygiene products, cleaning products, baby items, and clothing for people of all ages at their location. They are also always in need of monetary donations.

F.E.A.S.T.

The Palm Harbor Food Pantry was started in 1983 when member of PHUMC organized bags of groceries to give people requesting help. In 1989, the Pantry was incorporated under the name F.E.A.S.T. to accommodate the increasing volume of people in need, and to provide a way for tax deductions for donors. F.E.A.S.T. is a non-profit, non-sectarian organization that relies on the generosity of both individuals and groups to provide financial support and food for their client families. They are currently feeding over 3,000 families bi-monthly. Their hours of operation are from 9:00 a.m. to noon, Monday through Friday. FEAST is always in need of food, cash donations, and volunteers to help sort and bag food for distribution.

United Methodist Children’s Home

The United Methodist Children's Home in Enterprise, Florida, is a blessing for many children, who have lost their home.  Many of them have been physically or sexually abused, others have parents who can not take care of them, many because of drug or alcohol use.  The Children's Home is a place of safety and love - each child is placed in a home with other children and a set of house parents who lovingly care for these children.  They are given a Christian education and are loved and cared for until they are of an age when they can care for themselves.  Most of them go on to universities or trade schools to prepare themselves to go out into the world.  It is a loving, caring place for children of all ages, sexes and race.
