The end of the year is upon us and the budgeting process is in full swing.  We use the figures from the donation pledges when creating the church budget for the following year.  We cannot budget for funds that have not been pledged, so it is very important that we all turn in our Commitment Cards.  If you haven't done so yet, please fill out your Commitment Card and turn it in or mail it to the church office before the end of December.  Even if you are unable to pledge any time or money we'd like to know that too, so we can update our records on total number of responses.  Thank you.

We begin this year’s time of Stewardship by asking ourselves WHAT IF…?

Can this Church support the Mission & Vision God has given us? We all heard the Mission and Vision cast for our Church during our October worship services. We each made a commitment to be “All In”.

In order to achieve our Mission/Vision, we must be good stewards of the resources God has provided each of us. If our church is to succeed at making a difference it will be up to each of us to provide our Presence, Gifts, Prayers and Service. We must each respond with an overwhelming sense of urgency in each one of these areas in order to move forward to where we are called to be.

Our God is a BIG God who is capable of doing awesome and wonderful things through us and our church. Together we commit to find out what happens if we all step forward by taking all of our individual “I” commitments and turning them into a very large “We”. And “We”, His church, will present God the opportunity to do something amazing.

Remember in Malachi 3:10…

“…Test me in this” says the Lord “and see if I will not open the window

of Heaven and pour out for you such a blessing that there will not

be room enough to receive it.”

And ask yourself…

What if I am present in worship 52 weeks a year?

What if I work hard toward a tithe of my gifts?

What if I pray for my Church and Church Family 12 minutes a day?

What if I serve my God 4 hours every week?

Will it make a difference? I’m saying to you, without a doubt, Yes! You can make a difference.

Please prayerfully consider your commitment to our church.  Below you will find a link for the 2010 commitment card. Please return it to the church during Sunday worship servicesOr you can simply mail it, or drop it off in the church office during the weeks ahead. Please consider making your commitment sooner rather than later.

As always, thank you for your generosity as you prayerfully commit to God in support of the meaningful ministries at Palm Harbor United Methodist Church.

In His Service,

We know also that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we may know him who is true. And we are in him who is true -- even in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life. -- 1 John 5:20
