Harbor Angels Women's Ministry

The Harbor Angels Women’s Ministry is a community of Christian women who desire to grow closer in relationship with God through Jesus, to develop a joyous and supportive fellowship with other women through God’s love, and to give back to the community through participation in various mission opportunities.

Prayer Breakfast

All ladies, sisters, mothers, daughters, neighbors and friends are invited for fellowship, food and fun at PHUMC! These breakfasts are a special time of Christian fellowship as the ladies of our church and community come together at 9:00 on the first Saturday morning of the month (except in January, July, August) for an enjoyable time in sharing a delicious breakfast and entertaining presentations in the Multipurpose Room at church.

The next Prayer Breakfast will be a joint effort of the Women's and Men's Ministry on Saturday, September 11th, at 9:00 a.m. in the Multipurpose Room. We will be blessed with the opportunity to further welcome and get to know Pastor Dave and his wife, Sarah. Make your reservations and purchase your Prayer Breakfast tickets at the Women's Ministry table beginning Sunday, August 15th.

Women of the Vine

Women of the Vine, an outreach of the Harbor Angels Women's Ministry, announces that there is a pressing need for items for the rescued victims of human trafficking: Women's clothing in small sizes (calling all teens!), blankets, pillows, bed and bath linens both new and used, plus personal care articles and telephone calling cards. Furniture is also needed and will be picked up. For the Cold Night Shelter, these items are also needed plus new boxers and socks and warm coats. Call Natalie Stephens at 804-6407. You can use the designated collection boxes outside the west entrance for drop off at any time. Thank you!

Ladies Bible Study

This popular Bible study group meets every Wednesday morning (except during the summer months) at 9:30 in Room A202. The topics of study follow the needs of today’s Christian woman and always draw from solid Bible teachings. All ladies are welcome and encouraged to attend.

Small Group Studies

Ongoing study groups are scheduled throughout the year in Room A212. These classes are typically six-to-twelve weeks in length and class sizes may be limited to maintain an intimate affinity group setting.

Ministry Board Meetings

The Ministry Board plans and implements the programs and projects of the Harbor Angels Women's Ministry at PHUMC. Meetings are usually held once a month in Room A212 and all ladies are welcome and encouraged to attend and become involved in this phase of ministry.

Mission Opportunities

The Harbor Angels Women's Ministry sponsors a wide variety of community projects and organizations that have touched the hearts of the women of PHUMC. We are dedicated to reaching out and serving others wherever God's Holy Spirit leads us.

Leesburg Women's Retreat

Our annual Leesburg event is a wonderful weekend away from our busy everyday lives where we can enjoy Christian fellowship, spiritual renewal and growth in the setting of one of Central Florida’s most beautiful and peaceful locations. This ladies’ weekend is typically during February or March. Meals, lodging and conference fees are included in one low cost.

Women of Faith

This national conference is an event that the ladies of our church and community have long enjoyed as a group outing. The very talented Christian artists and speakers of this organization have always inspired and encouraged us as we continue moving forward with our own faith journeys. It is a blessing that should be experience by every woman.

Day Trips

We enjoy numerous excursions together throughout the year. Prior trips have included a fun day of shopping and lunch at Mt. Dora and group outings to area Christian concerts and comedy shows.
