Men of all ages are engaged in a wide range of activities and ministries at Palm Harbor to grow and serve in their faith.

The men's group is committed to the spiritual growth of men, who experience God's transforming power in their lives, and pass on their faith to live and grow in others.

Men growing in Christ, so others may know Christ.

This is accomplished through missions, fundraisers, Bible studies and fellowship.

Helping Hands Ministry: hishelpinghands

Jesus said, “For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you took me in, I was naked and you clothed me”—Matthew 25:35-36

This biblical concept of helping others was the catalyst for Don Hill to reorganize the Helping Hands Ministry under the Men’s Group at Palm Harbor United Methodist Church where he was president.  The express purpose of the Helping Hands Ministry is to help family and friends of PHUMC with tasks, chores, and minor repairs/remodeling at their home, apartment, or condo.  These tasks could be anything from cleaning windows, hanging ceiling fans, caulking and painting, yard work, cleaning gutters to light plumbing and structural repairs.  Some requested work may be beyond the scope of the Helping Hands Ministry.  In those cases, we will endeavor to recommend a qualified contractor.  Helping Hands does not charge a fee for the work they do; however, any monies received will be used to offset the costs incurred by those serving.

As our church continues to grow, so do the opportunities to be the hands and feet of Christ to serve others.  Those feeling called to serve in this vibrant ministry need only a love for God and a desire to reach out to those in need in our community.  Volunteers can participate as often or as seldom as they’d like.

Unfortunately, Don Hill passed away before seeing the impact this ministry is already having in our community.  The Helping Hands Ministry will continue in memory of Don Hill.
