There is age-appropriate care and instruction for children of all ages.
Children ages birth through 36 months of age are cared for in the church nursery. Children ages 3 years old through 5th grade will be participating in a Sunday School group according to age and grade.
It is our goal to provide a safe, caring, and positive experience for your child so that they might come to know God and the never-ending love He has for them. The children’s ministry staff and volunteers are committed to teaching kids the real Jesus in an environment that is safe, creative, fun, and nurturing.
Sunday Schedule
9 a.m. and 11 a.m.
Parents should check their children in at the Palmharborkids check-in station located in the lobby. Parents will then escort their child to the designated Sunday School room. Sunday School is filled with fun, engaging, and creative activities centered around a Bible topic or story for that week.
On the first Sunday of each month, when communion is being given out, the Sunday School classes go into the Sanctuary to participate in communion. Prior to taking communion, the sacrament is explained to the children in terms they can understand.
Check-in
Parents are required to check-in their children at the designated Palm Harbor Kids check-in stations in the lobby prior to the start of service if they would like their child to attend Sunday School. Once your child is checked in, please take them to the designated room, and pick them up immediately following the service. If you have any questions, please contact us at info@phumc.net.
Age Groups
Nursery(Age 0 – 36 months)
The youngest of our kids will be cared for by staff and volunteers in a nurturing environment.
Kids will be engaged through play, music, and hands-on activities to explore the beginnings of God and His love for them.
Nursery care is provided during all church services. |
Pre-School(Age 3 & 4 years old )
Pre-schoolers will explore God and His love for them during their group time through an age-appropriate curriculum.
Group time will have a mix of song and dance, Bible storytime, craft, and hands-on activities that will keep our pre-schoolers engaged and learning in fun and creative ways. |
Elementary(Kindergarten- 5th Grade)
Our Elementary aged kids will participate in both a large group format following an age-appropriate curriculum.
During large group time, kids will explore the Bible story through video, skits, and storytelling as well as participate in praise and worship.
Following large group time, kids will breakout into more grade-specific groups for further learning of the Bible story and practical life applications. This small group time will combine a mix of Bible reading, engaging group activities, and more. |
