Everyone is invited to kick off the Christmas season at PHUMC with our annual Christmas Cantata. Saturday, December 7, 2024 at 7 p.m. 

This is a free event and perfect for all ages.

Christmas poinsettias will once again be on sale this year. You can purchase your poinsettia today for $12.

Purchase them for yourself, in honor of someone or in memory of someone. The deadline to order is Sunday,  December 22. The sign up sheet will be at the church office and in the hallways on Sunday.

These poinsettias will be decorating the sanctuary for Christmas Eve.

After attending your Christmas Eve service please take a poinsettia as you leave.

 

There are two opportunities for PHUMC to give out food at the Metropolitan Ministries Food Tent in Trinity. Friday, November 22 from 8:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m. and again on Friday, December 20 from 8:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m.

Many communities in the Southeast have been devastated by Hurricane Helene. Right here in our own church community, people have experienced catastrophic loss. The church is called to come together to help and support one another during these times. We have put together a disaster response team to help address the needs of our church community. There are many ways that you can help:

• Make a donation to our disaster relief funds. You can make a donation online at www.phumc.net. Our church community will be our priority, with some funds going to help UMCOR’s recovery work in our state.
• Sign up to be a volunteer to help with clean up efforts, laundry, meals, etc. Please email Pastor Cathy, chart@phumc.net.

We will be starting our Christmas Choir practice starting Tuesday, September 17th. Every Tuesday from 7:15-8:00 p.m.  in the choir room. All are welcome, regardless of experience. Practice tracks will be given to assist singers with learning their music. Dress rehearsal and performance will be on Saturday, December 7th. Instrumentalists will be needed for this performance as well. Any and all wind, strings, and percussion can be utilized. Questions, contact Justin Reed at jreed@phumc.net
