Operation Christmas Child
PHUMC and all of its ministries LOVE Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes!
What is Operation Christmas Child?
Samaritan’s Purse project Operation Christmas
Child collects shoebox gifts filled with fun toys, school supplies, and hygiene items—and delivers them to children in need around the world to demonstrate God’s love in a tangible way. Through this project, Samaritan’s Purse partners with the local church worldwide to share the Good News of Jesus Christ and make disciples of the nations. PHUMC is excited to be one of the partner churches!
How do I participate?
Just pick up a shoebox from outside of the church front office or the multi-purpose room on Sunday and fill it.
You can pack a shoebox with toys, school supplies, and stuffed animals and turn it into the church during the month of October. Here is a great website to assist you: How To Pack A Shoebox
Our Annual CampusWide Packing Party will be Friday, October 4, 2024, at 6:30 p.m. in the multi-purpose room.
Check out pictures from our campus-wide packing party HERE.
When are the shoeboxes due and how do I get one?
You can pick up an Operation Christmas Child Shoebox on Sundays in the multi-purpose room or during the week in front of the church office. Packed shoeboxes are due back to the church Sunday, November 6.
Thank you to all of our volunteers during our receive Shoebox packing party.
