Operation Christmas Child Collection Week

PHUMC is a north Pinellas County drop-off location for Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes. We will be collecting them from November 16-23. Be watching for ways to sign up and help with the collection. (Sign-ups will be out late October).

 

Metropolitan Ministry Holiday Tent

Each year, we provide volunteers to assist at the West Pasco Metropolitan Ministry Holiday Tent in Trinity.  We assist the clients as they “shop” for their holiday meal.

Be watching for the November and December opportunities.

 

 

FEAST Christmas Food and Toy Distribution

Volunteers are needed for the FEAST and VETERANS Christmas Food and Toy distribution.

Friday, December 11th  3:30 p.m.-5:30 p.m. is set up
Saturday , December 12th:
Set -up: 8:00 a.m.-10:00 a.m.
and Shoppers, wrappers, hospitality, shoppers, distribution: 9:00 a.m.-2:30 p.m.

SIGN UP SHEETS will be available starting mid to late November

 

Pack A Sack

Pack a Sack, an outreach mission of PHUMC, to Sandy Lane and Calvin Huntsinger schools to help children with food insufficiency on weekends.  We pack items in a bag, which takes 30-45 minutes once a week at 6 pm on Thursdays, and then deliver the packed bins to the school on Friday morning, which takes about 90 minutes. We are looking for volunteers to pack and drivers to deliver the filled bins. The most important part of our packing is praying over the bins after we have filled them. This happens during the school year. Be watching for more information at the 2024-2025 school year begins.

 

 

Giving Hope Needs You    

As we enter into the fall, the need is greater for volunteers to help at Giving Hope. Giving Hope feeds the homeless Monday –Saturday by distributing bags of non-perishable food and sandwiches to those in need in North Pinellas and Pasco. From preparing the food for distribution to deliveries and everything in between, this vital ministry to our community needs your help.
